As a woman there are so many options for shopping and so many styles to enjoy. Us ladies can get away with dressing like a man far easier than the other way around. With that said; although Avril Lavinge really killed the trend, I adore a tie on a woman. You can wear a skinny tie, a thick tie, a patterned one, a solid one… My only rule is having a collar.
A modern way to don a tie is wear it loosened with a collared button-down dress with a few buttons opened up. With this style a skinny tie is best. If you wear it with the belt pictured, tuck the tie into the belt and be sure the tip of the tie doesn't peak out.
Another modern option is with a vest. You can wear either a thick tie or skinny tie. It looks super chic if everything is tight and neat. A thicker tie is a good idea when you want to show off the pattern of a tie. It’s also a fun way of having an ascot look.
