Vanessa was born and raised in San Jose, California, before moving south to get her film degree at San Diego State University. With an emphasis in Costume Design and a minor in Marketing, Vanessa began designing for theatre and short films including Lord Derby's Giant Eland and FOX's Finding the Endzone.

In 2005, Vanessa began her extensive work in television with shows such as Desire, Fashion House, American Heiress and The Ex List with the likes of Bo Derek, Morgan Fairchild, Elizabeth Reaser, Robert Buckley and Annalynne McCord.

Besides TV, Vanessa styles for film and Print Work and is a personal stylist for a variety of clients all over Southern California. In addition, Vanessa is a fashion writer for various publications, including the acclaimed fashion blog,

Vanessa has also put her on camera skills to work as a co-host for the online lifestyle show, The Girlfriend Lounge and can be seen on Wealth TV as a guest fashion expert.
